Lead Betty Brown lives and works in Evansville, Indiana, where in her “other life” she is Vice President of Quality at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She began her Sweet Adelines career in Evansville in 1977 before eventually decided to “commute” to the Pride of Kentucky Chorus. Betty’s husband Jerry, daughter Andrea and 2 grandsons think she is tops!
Baritone Margret Fenske is a “transplant” from Kansas where she was a long-time Sweet Adeline (1976) and a public school music educator Margret is a successful arranger, having not only done arrangements for her quartets, but also for the Pride of Kentucky Chorus, other chapter quartets, and Queens of Harmony quartets. Choruses and quartets around the country are singing Margret’s “tunes”. Also a gifted chorus and quartet coach, Margret serves on the Region 4 Music Education Faculty and is a Pride of Kentucky Baritone section leader.
Bass Marsha Leistner began her barbershop career in Evansville, Indiana, in 1979, finally moving to Louisville after several years of “commuting” to the Pride of Kentucky Chorus. She serves Sweet Adelines musically and administratively in both chapter and Regional positions and currently serves as the Pride of Kentucky vice-president and as a Bass section leader. |
