On The Edge is an award-winning barbershop quartet that specializes in a wide variety of music, all sung in four-part, a cappella harmony. Their musical style is lively, dynamic, and fun! Singing classic songs from the swingin’ 40s through the rock and roll tunes of the 60s and today, they know how to bring alive close-knit harmonies! Their musical presentations are family friendly, energetic, and above all, alive with phenomenal harmony! |
This exciting and entertaining quartet was formed seven years ago – and since that time they have been making a name for themselves in the wonderful world of barbershop. Their April 2007 performance at the Sweet Adelines Region Four Contest earned them a coveted spot as Region 4's Champions in this fall’s International Competition where they will share the stage with the most talented quartets in the world! On a personal note, OTE is truly a harmonious and family affair. Lead, Debbie Thistle is the Director of White River Sound Chorus (SAI), and is also the mother of tenor Michelle Thistle. Baritone, Debbie Arnold is the chorus’s assistant director. When not singing, both Debbie and Michelle Thistle enjoy careers in education. Debbie Arnold is a graphic artist specializing in custom advertising, and Sue Pelley works as an interior designer, appearing regularly on a variety of HGTV television shows. They are all long-time residents of Indianapolis, and are all active members of the White River Sound Chorus.
